Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains our position on refunds for subscriptions purchased on StoryPenguin. By subscribing to any of our plans, you acknowledge and accept the terms set out below.

1. All Sales Are Final

All subscription payments are final and non-refundable. Because StoryPenguin is powered by AI — including large language models for story generation and image generation models for illustrations — every story you create consumes real computational resources that are billed to us the moment they are used. For this reason, we are unable to offer refunds for any charge once it has been processed, regardless of whether you have used the service during the billing period.

2. Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops all future billing immediately. You will continue to have access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. No partial-period refunds are issued for any unused time remaining after cancellation.

3. Exceptions

We will review refund requests only in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • You were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a technical error on our side.
  • Your account was fraudulently accessed and charges were made without your authorisation.

To report either of these issues, please contact us via the Contact page within 7 days of the charge. We will investigate and respond as quickly as possible.
