- 1
Roll the die
Find the column headed by that many pips.
- 2
Read a word from that column
Any word that has not been crossed off yet.
- 3
Cross it off and pass the die
A wrong read stays on the board for next time round.
- 4
First to clear a column wins
Or keep rolling until the whole board is clear for a longer game.
What's in the PDF
6 columns, 6 words each
Each column is headed by a die face, so a child matches pips to column without needing to read a number.
As many boards as the list needs
A board holds 36 words, so a longer list simply runs onto a second and third board.
One page per board
Nothing to cut out and nothing to assemble — print it and put a die on the table.

Same board, harder or easier.
Read the whole column
Roll a 3, read every word in column three. Much more repetition per turn.
Use it in a sentence
Reading the word only counts if the child can use it in a sentence.
Beat the clock
One player, one minute, count the words cleared. Try to beat it tomorrow.
